Continue the story - based on the Absolutely true Diary of a Part-Time Indian

Dear diary!

It's time again. I had to go back school, but I don't really think it's that bad. A lot has changed in the summer holidays and I'm looking forward to my second year at Rearden. Me and Penelope had a great time over the summer holidays and Gordy has already become my buddy. So now the new school year can start.

Today was my first day of school. I got up very early. To be honest I didn't sleep at all. The night before the first day of school is generally weird and you can't sleep for some reason. So, then I went into the bathroom and washed my face with ice-cold water. After that, at least I didn't look like a dead corpse anymore. Then I got dressed up and put my fresh new shoes on. Immediately I sprayed a few sprays of my new perfume, which Penelope gave me, on my clothes. I smell heavenly. After I got ready, my father took me to school.

In front of the school were Penelope, Gordy, Roger, and Rowdy. I just thought WHAT IS ROWDY DOING HERE???

I said goodbye to my father and went to my friends. I greeted everyone and asked Rowdy if he could come with me for a moment. He said yes and we walked away from the others a bit. I immediately asked Rowdy what he was doing here, and he said he was going to Reardan now too. At first, I went into shock and didn't know what to say, but then I was happy. What's better than being in the same school with your best friend. We shook hands and then he wanted to leave, and I called him again and warned him that things were going to be a little different here and that he should adapt. He assured me he would try his best and then we went back to the others. We then went into the school and the day passed relatively well. It was a normal school day. Me and Rowdy met at the end of school in front of school and then we were driven home by Roger. All in all, it was a good day and now I'm sitting at home and I'm totally exhausted because I didn't sleep at all.

Tomorrow a new day will start in this new phase of life and I'm so looking forward to it.
