Hey you guys!

This is my new blog about books I read in my free time. Today, I wanted to share a book I recently read and really loved with you.

You would be home now is a book about the life of an introverted girl (Emory) and her drug abusive brother (Joey), it describes unrequited love, hate, and regular family problems.

At first, I thought this book would be boring and a very typical tragedy, but as soon as I read the first chapter I couldn´t bring myself to put it down anymore and I finished it in less than three days, the end really made me CRY my eyes out ☹! Emory is not strong-willed like her beautiful sister Maddie and not difficult like her brother Joey. That’s why she is often overlooked or taken for granted. As a result of taking care of her brother, you can see how Emory builds up her confidence and becomes a grown-up girl with a lot of new and true friends that helped her in the end.

I have to say, that this book is not for unstable or weak people but all in all, it is definitely INSPIRING for everyone. As the author of the book aptly put it “There are millions of Joeys and Emorys out there, and they should not be invisible.” (From the end of the book under “authors note”) We never know, what the people around us are going through.

I hope I was able to convince you to read this book and I would be very happy if you could afterwards share your own opinion on the book and it would be even better if you left me a like and/or a short comment. You can also share my blog with people that love books as much as you and me.

See you next time bookworms!
