Once upon a great book

Once upon a time, I read an amazing book and then had to wait another two years until I could find the happy ever after. Two summers ago, I picked up a book with a beautiful cover not anticipating that it would become one of my favourites. This book takes you on a journey with a pink-haired girl named Evangeline who travels to a foreign land and must face many challenges, and in the process falls in love with a man who was destined to never find love.

For me this was such a cosy read, the fairytale aspect of it felt like a children's story and the nostalgic feeling I got was one that I am going to miss dearly. But of course, with a good book, there have to be some challenges. Evangeline lost her parents and then, who she thought was the love of her life, and throughout the book you can see that she is still dealing with the loss of her parents. Like in the third book, in the cursed forest, even though she knew the illusion wasn't real she still tried to chase after the voices of her parents.

I wouldn't say I have any reading habits, Those are for people who either have to force themselves to read or have to have a specific time reserved for reading. With me, there are months where I read 14 books in one and then their months that I barely open a book. I read mostly on my Kindle, but one of my resolutions for this year is to go through my physical tbr (which just keeps getting bigger). But I know that this year I will read fewer books than I did last year just because I want to focus on school more.

This book has become something precious to me, not only did I get completely invested in the story but also the character that I now hold dearly to my heart. What they felt I felt. If you want something that will keep you turning the page (and now you don't have to wait a year for the next book to come out) and will make you feel at home, like when your pa

rents told you bedtime stories, this is the right choice for you. But don't get it confused I wouldn't call this a children's book, but it does have the magic on. If you have read it, I would love to hear your opinion on it and if you haven't, what are you waiting for?
