On a Sunbeam is gorgeously drawn graphic novel made by Tillie Walden. Its about a girl called Mia and her team, who fix old monuments and abandoned buildings. Yet they don’t do it on earth, but in outer space. Travelling across all these different planets surely excites Mia, but there is someone who the other team members don’t know about. It was a girl from her old boarding school, she was one of Mia’s best friends, but then she disappeared, and Mia hasn’t seen her since. Will she ever find her again?

Although the book is a bit thick, I chose to read this book because the story interested me, and I really liked the visual style of the graphic novel! All the colours match very well together, and the characters look great as well.

I’d recommend this book to people who like more longer and fleshed out stories and that would maybe enjoy more of a comic style book than just plain words on a paper. This book would also be interesting for people who like to read queer books or who would maybe like to try to read one if they haven’t yet. Maybe this novel could also be interesting for people who enjoy stories in outer space.
