This time, I chose a book called Chocolat written by Joanne Harris. This book was recommended to me by my mother, who is a great bookworm. She knows I'm not into romantic prose and poetry, and she assured me that the story wouldn't be all about the romantic subplot, but also about plot twists, amazing stories and subplots and the revelation of secrets.

As the title of the French book indicates , the story is set in France, specifically in the small town of L

ansquenet-sous-Tannes. Vianne Rocher and her daughter Anouk move to the small town. Vianne wants to open a chocolate factory in Lent, situated right at the edge of town. However, the priest Francis Reynaud does not like the idea. Although Raynaud boycotts her chocolate factory in front of the inhabitants, some can't resist reaching for the chocolate. Why? It has to do with Vianne’s secret which is gradually revealed.

The book has 335 pages and was easy and quick to read. The first chapters of the book seemed a bit boring to me at first, but as the story progressed, the book became more and more exciting. Before I started reading it, I made a plan that I would read the book at least half an hour a day. In the end, I was so drawn in that I didn't need a plan and finished it all in one free weekend. Just as I was impressed and surprised by this book, so I think you will be if you give this book a chance. It is no coincidence that this book has become an international bestseller! And now I will be able to put this book at the forefront of my library. I am already looking forward to the next great book I am going to read and then I will inform you about it on my blog.

I am very curious about your comments that you can post right here! And if you liked my blog, please don't forget to give it a like and spread the word 😊
