Bend it like Beckham (graded reader)

I have to tell you something about this book! At first, I will give you some information. The book is called bend it like Beckham. This book was written by Narinder Dhami. The version of the book I read includes information about the author, a review of the film and you can find a page with the drawing of a football pitch. At the end of the page there are explanations for words that might be difficult to understand.

To be honest, at first, I made sure that I picked a book with only few pages. When I got to the end of the book, I was a little sad that the book was already over. ☹ So, I want to say if I like a book, then it must be really good. I usually hate to read books, but this book was amazing. 😊 The story just captivated me. The book also has a film, I haven't seen it yet, but I will check it out soon.

Now I'm going to tell you a little bit about the content. The main character of this book is an 18-year-old woman Jess Bhamra. She is the daughter of a religious Indian family. Jess Bhamra plays football for Manchester United, but her mother does not want her to play football. You're probably wondering how you know the word Beckham based on the title of the book. He is a world-famous soccer player. Jess’s idol is David Beckham that is why it is in the title. If you want to know more, you have to read the book… . 😉
